What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?

20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Tiny Legends Early Learning Centre, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

“"My daughter attended Community of Early Learning for approximately 2 years. The environment and staff is outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend any parent to send their children to this centre. A big plus for attending this centre is it is privately owned so therefore has fantastic ratios and has a homely feel about it. Any change in hours was never a problem either. Staff really do show an in-depth interest in your child and are always available to discuss any issues. As a parent it is the best feeling to drive away in the morning knowing your child is happy, getting excellent age appropriate education and 100% well cared for."”
