About Minerva House
About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.
What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Minerva House, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“We absolutely love this daycare centre. The teachers are fantastic and such a friendly, family environment.”
“Excellent preschool with amazing staff and teachers. My child absolutely loves going and gets quite upset on a weekend when she is told we staying home this morning. The food choices are amazing and very well balanced. I can see how my child has blossomed and grown in the few months she has attended. She comes home daily with new information which is taught in such an enthusiastic way. The teachers are caring and very attentive. Definitely recommend!”
“Our daughter loves every minute at Minerva House, we couldn't be happier with the atmosphere and learning environment. Great teachers too.”
“We have been so incredibly happy with the support, dedication and passion the team have shown since we started in 2019. They truely care and provide a wonderful environment for our boys to grow and develop. Thank you for making it a home away from home for them!”
