What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Little Learners on Nineteenth, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“I have had two children attend Kids on 19, with one still currently attending. The teachers are some of the most genuine people you will meet, who go over and above to meet the needs of the children attending and wider whanau. They have been the subject of some very unfair and misguided media critique, fueled by people with their own separate agendas. I am a very safety conscious person and if I had any concerns about my children attending whatsoever I would move them. I would not hesitate to recommend Kids on 19 to any parent looking for a wonderful centre.”
“Do better saying they noticed straightaway when 4 kids escaped the daycare and was on the road but clearly you guys didn't as a man a member of the public found them and bought them back how dose this even happen ino how by not doing your job and actually watching the children absolutely useless should be ashamed of yourselfs and to any parents do not take your children there or if they go there find another daycare asap but if u think this is a safe place for children you are absolutely wrong poor kids and not to mention one mother found out a lady a worker that was ment to be looking after her baby was found under the influence of alcohol while looking after a one-year-old baby trying to disguise wine in 2 pump bottles and she got to keep her job? disgusting no wonder they are getting on the road too busy drinking instead of working 🤮🤢 don't believe me look at the reviews”
“It appears this daycare has recently been subject to some unfair and misleading criticism in the news and on social media that is based on misinformation and personal agendas. We entrust this daycare with the care of our child, know the staff well, and can attest that the staff are trustworthy and provide exceptional childcare. They are not deserving of the current negative media criticism they are receiving and I encourage anyone concerned to speak to the center directly. I wholeheartedly recommend this daycare and look forward to sending my daughter there for the rest of her preschool years.”
“My whānau and I love kids on nineteen! My oldest boys (12 & 8) both went here and loved their time here they left well equiped for their primary school journey. My youngest started at 8months old in the babies room and is now 3 and thriving and learning so much from all her kaiako and friends. The centre itself is always clean and tidy and kept to a high standard. The outside play area is perfect and everything I was looking for (eg-real grass!) communication between kaiako and whanau is awesome, we have never had any issues my kids have always felt safe loved and cared for. Marlene and the Team are amazing, my whānau and I are grateful to be apart of kids on nineteen.”
“Overall fabulous, hygiene and well maintained day care. Here is the detailed review. Good day care in nineteenth avenue. Well maintained with highly experienced teacher. Plenty of playing options for kids even in indoor and outdoor. Outdoor area is creative with modern swings and slide. Teachers are good in taking care of your child. Well interactive professionals. Safe and Secure. Parking space is the only constraint but can be managed. Make payments to the mentioned bank accounts. Ask for ECE hours when your kids are joining.”
