About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.
What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at All About Children-Mt Wellington, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

“I just joined the his centre and I love it!! It's like a room away from home. Staff are cultural respectful. They engage with tamariki on a amazing level. Highly recommended to the Mt Wellington Community”
“We love this centre. Both our kids are here- our eldest for coming up 3 years and our youngest has just started in the baby room, the teachers are truly amazing and it’s a very special place. Would recommend to everyone”
“I cannot recommend MyKindy Mt Wellington highly enough! Just wanna say thank you to the whole team! Our little girl has thrived under your care. We are so amazed that she is capable of doing a lot of things by herself. Her numeracy and literacy skills have also been developed amazingly. We have discovered that she is able to count along with us from 1 to 9 when we were doing her night formula bottles last week. She can also say ‘ball, bird, up and down, out, help and etc.’ She’s only 18-month-old now, and we speak only Mandarin at home😀. What is more, she loves the freshly cooked meals Tony has made for them! The centre manager Liz is awesome! She has arranged a lot of activities for the children, our girl did enjoy the walk to Mt Wellington (though she was in the pushchair :) and the magic show. Not only her, but also I am a big fun of the series of activities of Pacific language weeks at MyKindy Mt Wellington. It’s a pity that we have to say goodbye to MyKindy Mt Wellington for now. But I’m sure we’ll meet again!”
“MyKindy has been the best choice for my daughter's daycare. Before enrolling, my husband and I visited every ECE center in the area and reviewed recent reports from the Education Review Office. MyKindy stood out as our top choice, and we couldn't be happier with it. My daughter is thriving and well cared for. The teachers are fantastic and have taught her her first words in Māori, English, and even sign language. The meals are healthy, well-balanced, and delicious—my picky eater always asks for more. The staff organize wonderful events, like a recent disco party, that involve the whole family and create a welcoming environment. MyKindy truly feels like home for all of us.”
