About Education & Care Service

Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.

What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?

20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Wild and Love Early Learning Village, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

You can feel the love and care that goes into every part of the environment. Centre Manager Amy and her teaching team are outstanding. “With the new management, Wild and Love has truly flourished. I chose this beautiful centre for my daughter when she was 4½ years old. After visiting many centres in the area, Wild and Love’s first impression gave me the confidence and trust I needed to leave my little girl in their care. She is now happily settled, and her kaiako care for her with such warmth and dedication. As both a mum and an early childhood teacher, I can confidently say I made the best choice for my daughter and for myself. The management and kaiako are incredibly supportive, maintaining low ratios and providing high-quality care and learning experiences for our tamariki. The centre is well-resourced with age-appropriate materials and offers a beautiful, natural outdoor environment where children can explore freely. Highly recommended! Thank you !”

“Choosing Wild and Love Daycare for our son was an easy decision, especially after hearing glowing recommendations from family whose children also attend. Despite recent management changes, which naturally comes with some challenges, the teachers and staff have remained incredibly approachable, warm, and kind. I’m confident my son is well cared for and enjoys his time there, it’s evident when he doesn’t want to leave at pick-up time! They also provide nutritious meals, packed with fruits and vegetables, it’s reassuring knowing he’s eating well throughout the day even if he doesn’t at home! We’re so happy with the village and love watching our son learn and grow there.”

“The new owners and leadership team are dedicated to providing the centre with high quality and low ratio care. So refreshing to have a centre not working on Ministry minimums for ratio! Beautiful environment, wonderful learning stories and its easy to see the learning for my children through the weekly diary. Check them out if your in the area!”

“I moved my daughter to Wild and Love about two months ago and honestly it’s been the best decision ever. For the first time I actually know what she’s been learning and doing each day. Every time I pick her up she runs over with the biggest smile on her face, and it just makes my day. I was also surprised to find out that one of my childhood friends is now a teacher here. I truly thank God for leading me to choose Wild and Love ❤️”
