About Town and Country Kids
About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.
What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Town and Country Kids, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Enrolling my youngest son at TCK was the best decision I've ever made for him. The staff treat him like their own whanau. He is high needs, non-verbal, and on the spectrum but to them, he's just another kid to love, care for, and educate. They embrace diversity and inclusion and they do it with a smile.”
“My 2 little ones joined this centre back in 2021. My youngest daughter joined in 2021 and graduated from there in April this year. My son joined shortly after her (I moved him from another centre in Pukekohe)and he graduated in January 2024. They both thrived at this centre, had excellent support for myself and my children, the teachers also helped support them through their struggles with positive and happy outcomes for them both. Always had consistent updates, routines and great structure. I could finally go to work knowing they'd be safe and comforted while i was away from them. They became family to us. Although the kids are in primary now, we still often visit after school when we can. We miss being there and if I had another child, I would without a single doubt, trust them being no where else but here. Highly recommend Pukekohe town and country kids. Thank you for taking such good care of my babies ❤️ Casey McMillan”

“I have two children attending currently and wow the staff are absolutely amazing! Don't get it me wrong it can seem overwhelming as the centre is big and not what you would expect it's like wow.”
