About The Vines Early Learning
About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.
What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at The Vines Early Learning, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“An amazing childcare centre! The teachers are so kind and attentive, and the environment is full of love and learning. My child has absolutely loved being in this centre — highly recommend to any family!”
“Absolutely loved this daycare and highly recommend to others. Being whanau owned and operated, the care is brought down as though each child is their own. The diversity in the teachers is awesome as our tamariki get to understand and appreciate other cultures and celebrate them. The food is amazing. The centre is modern and warm. The staff are just great. They absolutely do nurture and encourage growth and development of our children. Most of all, it's a safe environment. Having children in care can be daunting but at the The Vines, I wasn't concerned about my sons wellbeing while I was working. He was very well looked after and always coming home happy. Check out The Vines if you haven't already. Thanks Nicole and Team! We will miss you. Nga mihi xx”
“Highly recommended! My son didn't went to daycare until he was 3 and the transition was rough. They have been patient and helping him a lot. He is now doing well and are very much comfortable with all his teachers!”
“I could not recommend the vines enough if you are looking for a daycare for your baby in the area. Mine has been here since she was around 1, and has absolutely thrived. It is obvious that the teachers are experienced and passionate about their work, and are adored by their students. The kids are provided great nutritious lunches and have clean classrooms and play areas with so many different activities. My little one comes home happy every day. Thanks to all the staff at the vines 🥰”
“I’m so grateful I found The Vines. As a mum to an 11-month-old, choosing the right daycare felt overwhelming but the moment I walked through The Vines, I felt an instant sense of comfort and reassurance. My son has been attending for three months now, and the teachers have been nothing short of amazing. They’re incredibly warm, nurturing, and truly go above and beyond to make sure he feels safe, loved, and cared for every single day. I genuinely couldn’t imagine him being anywhere else.”
