About The Tree House
About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.
What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at The Tree House, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“My experience was very bad , I sent my son for 2 months only, service is very poor, nobody is responsible for anything , no information on what he had as food or milk, how much he slept , what was his day, when I ask about those they will say look into some books, those always incomplete, i never see my baby name on that list. so i stopped asking after 2 or 3 days. its my experience, I never recommend anyone there until I see some drastic change over there. i had complained to central director and manager, hope they are taking action what they have promised me. The reason I sent him there only because it starts from 6.45 am even though I heard some feedback from colleague . but I realised changing job time/job place is much better than sending my baby to irresponsible centre.”
“The staff at Treehouse have been extremely supportive in working with us to best support our daughter's transition into childcare. All of the staff members have been lovely and have made it quite easy for an anxious mum to return to work!”
