About Nurserydale Childcare Centre
About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.
What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Nurserydale Childcare Centre, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Our whānau had begun the transition into Nurserydale’s care but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to stop our enrolment, however I wanted to leave a review still because of the wonderful centre that it is. All the staff were super kind and you can tell that all the children are truly happy, engaged and thriving here, with tons of resources and learning through play activities. The way that the children have one main teacher for their entire stay at the centre is truly something special. What really won is over was the staffs confidence in te reo Māori, which was obvious as many of the children use kupu Māori in their speech often, and all with perfect pronunciation. It’s unfortunate that things didn’t work out be we are very grateful for Nurserydale’s kindness and support. Ngā mihi nui”
“Best place for your children second only to home. Libby, Kay and the team are really vested in the kids. My kids want them to open on weekends they enjoy it so much.”
“Best daycare around! Our two kids have gone here since age 1 and the team is incredible. I love that there's a separate space for the under 2s, with great ratios of teachers to children (1:3). Michelle, Dee Dee, Ayla, thank you for looking after both my babies with so much love and kindness. ❤️ They have a fantastic continuity of care model, and the babies' primary care teacher transitions to the big kids room with them when they turn 2 year olds. The centre celebrates lots of holidays and events throughout the year, including one EPIC Christmas party. They also encourage the children to explore their interests in carpentry, art, bugs, music and gardening, amongst other things. The teachers mostly follow RIE philosophy, which is so great and respectful to children. Leah cooks delicious nutritious meals for the children, and even gets them to help sometimes. Libby runs the centre well and is so awesome to deal with. She has great policies in place to keep the kids safe. She also has high standards for cleanliness, which is so great, because we all know kids are little germ factories. I can't praise Nurserydale highly enough. We love it!”
“Awesome team and very cool kids”
“It's a huge thing trusting someone with your precious little ones, but with Nurserydale, you are in the safest hands. Our two boys went through their centre for over eight years, and they have been consistently exceptional in the service provided to our family. Libby and the team are kind, loving and focused on the best outcomes for the kids they look after. They tailor their care for all types of children, and they adopt leading practices to ensure they are leading edge in how they support, educate and communicate. What sets the centre apart is their attention to detail evidenced by small things like educating kids on different cultures (i.e. shared Matariki events), engaging the wider centre community (i.e. pot luck dinners) and clear transition to school plans including a very special graduation ceremony. We can't thank them enough for all they have done for us.”
