About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Millie's House Daly Street, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Fantastic centre with amazing teachers. Would highly recommend”
“We absolutely love Millie’s House. We had to change daycare centres since our last one was suspended by the MOE. After such an unpleasant experience it was wonderful to find a place here. The teachers are so kind and helpful. Paula, the manager is the best! So knowledgeable and caring. The children are so well looked after and they are very big on hand hygiene here. My son rarely comes home sick anymore. We are only leaving due to relocation to the South Island. Thanks for everything Millie’s House!”
“WE LOVE MILLIES HOUSE DALY STREET! Both our children started at Millie’s around 8 months old. Our daughter went through a couple of years of operations, she was in a Spica cast for 7 months and a Rhino brace for 6 months. The teachers supported her in her development and made sure she was still part of the fun. They played a massive part in her development (learning to walk at 3) they celebrated her milestones with us ❤️ My son loves daycare, possibly more than being at home.. it’s so much fun! Thank you Millie’s. We couldn’t have imagined a better fit for our children & I will forever be grateful for the love you showed all of us and especially my beautiful wee girl x”
