What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Chapel Hill Kindergarten, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“The best kindy in all of Hamilton. After looking around at a number of centres, the quality of Chapel Hill is far superior. First off, they actually have lawn, with an additional natural play forest area. The yard is very spacious and private, has a huge sand pit, and great playground equipment. There is plenty of shade to protect the kids from the sun, as well as plenty of space to ride the bikes! The classrooms are awesome. Really clean; everything is in designated areas, which is such great way to keep kids accountable for what they use. Majority of the equipment is wooden or natural materials, and all are open ended. The room never looks cluttered, but actually beautiful - Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The toilets are user friendly, and spotless!! Never have I seen cleaner bathrooms than these. My little girl can actually independently access the toilet and bathroom, and have good hygiene. It’s a real sigh of relief. I have also been so impressed by the faith-based community! They are really intentional in including biblical principles and practices into the learning and daily routine. It’s reassuring to know that my child will be in good hands, and have Christian values shared with her. The best aspect are the staff. They have the perfect balance being busy cleaning and arranging activities, but also actually wanting to be with the children, taking the time to notice, engage, encourage and spend time with them on a personal level. Their openness makes everyone easy to approach, and Clare was so amazing in our enrolment process. All the staff just really care about the children, and actually look like they love their jobs. Thank you Chapel Hill.”
