About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Bear Park Henderson, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Extremely disappointed with Bear Park Henderson My daughter 17 months old got seriously injured (fractured elbow) while in their care, and the staff failed to notice or properly report the injury. This is not the first time safety was ignored — previous incidents were downplayed or misreported. Staff and management showed negligence and dismissive behaviour, and proper supervision seems lacking. I would not recommend this centre for any parent who cares about their child’s safety.”
“Have had both my children here since they were 7 months old through to 5yrs old. We have always felt super supported and both our children have been well looked after by all the staff. Staff are excellent, super friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely care. We have always felt at ease leaving our children here to be looked after, knowing both our children have been in the very best care of the fantastic staff. Thankyou to all the team at Bear Park Henderson!!”
“Danielle and the team at Bear Park Henderson have been amazing! We aren’t enrolled yet but looking to enrol in the new year. Danielle has been so accomodating taking me and my close one’s on multiple tours as we figure out the space that’s best for our little one. Danielle has been passionate, attentive, knows all the children by name and considered our needs with holding a comprehensive understanding of BP policies and procedures. Also shout out to Brittany, seeing her (teacher) in action is awesome and she appeared to be a “mother” to many young ones!”
“Bear Park Henderson has been so lovely for our 2 year old. It provides a natural, gentle environment, wonderful teachers and amazing food.”
“Our daughter enjoy her time in daycare with n moreporks. I love how well structured they are and very communicative. It feels so good when you drop your kiddo and someone is there to welcome and hold them with warmth. What an amazing team of teachers! They all are helpful and warm. My daughter developed so much and so confident. I love the fact they keep encouraging her to self feed and self sufficient.I personally suggest these lovely ladies to all of my friends and relatives! They all are amazing 🙂”
