What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at YMCA Early Learning Centre Massey, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“This center is truly one of a kind. The teachers go above and beyond to provide exceptional care for thr children and meet each child's needs along their learning journey. Clean and great indoor/outdoor activities for all early childhood ages”
“Highly recommend this school. We decided to put our son here because of their small class sizes. Our son enjoyed his time in this wonderful school. They provide food 3 days a week for the kids which is wonderful. Teachers were amazing, kind and friendly. We currently moved overseas but my son still keep on asking us to take him back to Massey early learning Centre. Thank you Julia and all the teachers for your hard work 🙏”
“YMCA Childcare in Massey is attentive, engaged, professional, all while having the warmth of a home. And their serving food for children is also very good quality. Besides the staff team have honestly been so amazing. As well as my favourite thing about this center is that they treat my son with respect and value him wellbeing everyday. I am grateful how they ensure he is comfortable whenever I leave him and a friendly teacher will take the time to the cuddle with him when I am gone if he needs it. Thanks to their good interaction , he always happy to go there. I can strongly recommend if your looking for good childcare.”
“Do not pur your child in this centre! A teacher who abused my child is currently still employed there. Management also do not care about parents when they have concerns about their child. Your concern will go nowhere. Their HR department is a joke and say things like.. "I have to call you out on something?" As though I was in a gang. It was most probably because I am Pacific Islander and she thought I was uneducated. Please if I can advise anything it would be that no parent puts their child into a centre where the family isnt put first”
“The staff are so friendly and amazing with the children”
