About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.
What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Tiny Voices Hobsonville, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Should've posted this review a year ago. If you value your children's wellbeing, never put them into the hands of those who are driven by the dollar sign. People who make monetary gain their primary goal in life should never be in charge of taking care of people, especially children. It is a misfortune for the few good teachers and staff members in this place, who really should seek better employment somewhere else. And for those that caused me to write this review today, it looks like a fine day, perhaps it is a good time to truly review yourselves, not in a staff meeting, but actually in your minds, because credentials and fancy interior designs mean nothing, if your drive is wrong.”
“Amazing place, 5 months in and still going well. We appreciate how the teachers keep us in the loop through the app, we know how much our baby has eaten and slept. Really impressed with the variety of the healthy food which seems to rotate and change often, and they have their own chef. From time to time we receive personalised stories and photos, which we appreciate so much. Baby also gets really good naps there. While dropoffs can sometimes be tough, we noticed a change and sometimes our baby isn't in a rush to leave when picking them up, so clearly they're enjoying it! The only downside is it's not as close to our home as others, but that's more on us haha. Massive thank you to all the awesome teachers. We know it can be hard work, but your care and efforts are so much appreciated!”
“This place is amazing. We viewed a lot of daycare centres and I was amazed how much they differ. Tiny Voices and Eduplay were the best by far. Tiny Voices has the largest play areas - inside and outside, and all the carers are smiling and down on the floor playing with the kids. The kids are split into individual year groups so you don't have to worry about 2 year olds tripping over 6 month olds. The food smells from the kitchen are incredible. Our 11 month old transitioned within 2 weeks with no real issues and everyone who works there is so friendly it feels like we've been going for years.”
“Can’t speak anymore highly of this place. We love it. Super clean and tidy, the teachers are super loving, big open play areas where the kids can all mix and mingle if they want to but still have their own little spaces if they don’t want too, love the pull out beds they have for the kids when they need a nap, love the way the staff interact with the kids and how they try to incorporate Māori into a lot of things. I really regret not sending my other kids here.”
“These guys are absolutely at top of their game! As soon as you walk the aesthetics of the centre is very positive. The teachers are absolutely lovely and the entire admin staff is very supportive. My kid looks forward to spending his time here. The food menu is well thought and extremely nutritious. The outdoor set up is the just the best! Keep up the good work :)”
