What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?

20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. “The Village Childcare has truly been the most amazing place for our family, my son who is now 3 has been attending since he was 8 months old, with the love and support of his teachers he has grown into the most confident and strongly independent little boy. The centre environment is calm and welcoming. I look forward to having my daughter start here very soon knowing that she will be well cared for 🥰”

“We left The village May 2021, and Braxton asks all the time to go back to his ‘old school’ we miss you all so much and are so grateful for the quality care, kindness and support for braxton and our whanau during our time at the village, braxton started at 9 months old and was 2.5yo when we left, it’s crazy to think that he remembers the village so we’ll for a little person, it definitely holds a special place in his heart, he looks at the photo of him and Katie daily and gets upset that he just wants his old school. I can confidently say this daycare is hands down the best. Hope you are all doing well ♥️ Georgia”

“There is not enough stars here to rate these Ladies at the Village Childcare, From Owner, Management, Office and all Teachers not forgetting John Builder. I am confident that you all genuinely care about the Children and their Whanau. I am truly thankful for the love & compassion you hold for your Jobs and the Children in your care. I feel very lucky to have had you all in the early development of all my 4 Grandchildren over the past 5 & half years and more to come. They have all the support to learn at their own pace building self confidence, exploring with your own special strategies meeting any special requirements they may have. I know when I leave they are all in very safe, nurturing caring hands. Thank you to all of you that has been a huge part of their Journey through Tots, Explorers & Preschool. The best childcare center ever : )”

And their staff are all passionate about the children and supporting the whānau.”
