What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at The Miller Nest Early Learning Centre, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“My daughter goes here and have loved going here since day 1! The teachers are like our extended family and Our little one adores and respects them all. Would highly recommend the miller nest to every parent!”
“Our daughter started in Nursery and is now in preschool. She loves it there - she respects her teachers and has made great friends. Its a small daycare with a close-knit team of teachers and staff. Its also wonderfully clean which was important for us. The staff turnover has been low and our daughter has developed loving and meaningful relationships with her teachers. Its also very multicultural which is fantastic. As a parent its also been nice to get to know the team and talk with them daily. I'm so happy to have found the Millers Nest and would recommend it as one of the daycares to view and experience before deciding.”
“My son goes here and he really enjoys going. The teachers have become like family for him and with the transition into a new city we couldn't be any more happier that we chose this preschool. They are so genuinely caring towards everything. I would recommend this preschool to anyone looking for a place to take their child. Safe, fun and helpful.”
