What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?

20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Te Kōhanga Reo o Ngā Tikanga Pono, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

“Cozy place with a lot of activities going on, in a good location beside the mall, the library, shop, and cafés. Variety of room and venue sizes to hire for a reasonable price. Good for birthdays, classes, community meetings, weddings, and offices. The team is very responsive, helpful, and friendly”

“Nice large community center with a variety of rooms available for events, suited as per one's requirements. The location is easily accessible via public transport too. The parking can be limited given the small number of spaces available. The rooms are well maintained and good facilities are provided. Overall well recommended.”

“We come here on Wednesdays for church devotional.. they have smaller rooms and safe place for kids to play.. downside is parking is always full, you have to park across the road near the shops or on the other side of Glenfield road..”
