What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Rhyme and Reason - Early Learning Centre, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Rhyme & Reason are truly amazing. I think that’s all that needs to be said. For anyone thinking about it. They have the right combination of being detailed oriented, putting people in that are great with kids, creating an environment that the kids love, and making sure activities are both fun and educational. We, and our kids always look forward to the mornings.”
“The most awesome looking Preschool I have ever set my eyes on! Such a beautifully fully renovated villa with a huge ultra modern extension out the back with lots of space for kids to learn and play with a big outdoor playing area. Incredible looking learning games, puzzles and toys. You got to go and check this out for yourself. Our kids are now at school but otherwise I would drive miles to bring them here. Jemma the owner did teach our kids when they were at preschool and is an excellent and amazing teacher! This will be the best preschool to send your kids to in Christchurch for sure!”
