What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?

20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Oma Rāpeti Early Learning Centre, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

“What an incredible centre. We visited so many centres around auckland until we came to Oma Rāpeti. It stood out from the rest with an incredible philosophy, beautiful natural outdoor grounds, amazing caring teachers and great food all made in-house. We feel very lucky to have our son here in such a special environment.”

“Best daycare in Auckland. We have visited so many different centre in Auckland and we are very luck that after been in the waiting list for seven months we finally can be part of the centre. All the teacher are so patient and professional! They show children how to identify their emotions and how to cope with them. They always warm and calm and very understanding to both children and parents. Show and teach children how to respect others and themselves. They plant fruit with children in their garden and serve them for the tea time. Best daycare ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
