What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Nga Taonga Aroha Early Childhood Centre, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

“The centre is whanau oriented regardless of your nationality our kids are priority and taught with aroha and respect the teachers are great here, Emma jane being the team leader you couldn't ask for any better my son started here at 2 yrs old fresh from the Gold coast welcomed with arms opened wide and has thrived in to a little genius (know it all) 😄 he is now 4. This centre has a great whanau support an insight on how to ensure your child gets the best out of thier education Beautiful vege garden which is for the whanau to help them self's with the hopes you pull a few weeds out as you take, it is very community based and thrive off looking after papatuanuku. Very free range our kids are open to explore outside sunshine or rain.
