What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Nga Puawai o Kaikohekohe, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“I have been to other daycares in Kaikohe and as a mum with minimal awhi/support I feel like the teachers are like aunty’s and whanau they have taught me so much and also happily adjusted to try their best to cater to my child when they have needed it, and they are so tidy organized and thoughtful. We have been here for a year now I have had my youngest start at 7 months old and my eldest at 3 and they both love going to school and the teachers have relationship with you children they aren’t just another number. I cannot express how amazing they are. My babies don’t get sick and have weird skin conditions or bumps and bruises showing up out of nowhere. They are amazing. So professional but real people.”
