What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Montessori 3-6 Trilingual Early Childhood Education, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Amazing well educated teachers. Would highly recommend. I wish I found this place sooner!”
“We are so blessed to have the 3-6 Montessori in Napier. The teachers are outstanding in providing the best education for my son who has been attending here since he was 2 years old. This school has unlocked my son's potential in character development, values, literacy, reading, arithmetic, arts, music, science, and life skills such as baking, gardening and basic home responsibilities. The learning materials are high quality with focus on education and critical thinking. Ergonomics and layout of the indoor and outdoor learning environment is well-thought, conducive and safe. The students are also taught to speak in English, Te Reo, Spanish and Japanese. Celebration of different countries are akso implemented, which helped the kids to be culturally diverse at early age. My most favourite in this school is the genuine love and care of the teachers to their students and their passion to live and teach the Montessori principles. The teachers are amazing! I believe that my son has developed and grow so well with the support of this school. 3-6 Montessori is genuine to their intentions in providing an individualised quality education based on specific needs of their students. Thank you to all the amazing teachers of 3-6 Montessori. We really appreciate all your hardwork and efforts for the education of our young children. More power to your school. Best regards, Dawn and Brad”
“The short hours for 2 year olds worked perfectly for me as a stay at home Mum and soon welcoming another baby. Our sons language has developed leaps and bounds and the fact he is excited to attend every day affirmed we’d made a good call by choosing Montessori. Our daughter is now itching to start when she turns 2.”
“Our children have different needs and the team at Montessori 3-6 have willingly found ways to meet them as the individuals that they are. The teaching team bring much experience and we love the inclusivity of honouring multiple languages and cultures. The kids do awesome activities and are constantly bringing home creations they are proud of.”
“I am very happy with our decision to place River at Montessori 3-6. All the staff are warm, friendly and welcoming. They work with whānau by sharing goals for the tamariki. The teaching tools are very advanced, and the children really enjoy learning. The children are also encouraged to be caring and helpful to each others. The values of whanaungatanga and manaakitanga feature strongly at Montessori 3-6. Children here are prepared for further education, and life in general through developing life skills.”
