About Minimee Early Childhood Adventure
About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.
What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Minimee Early Childhood Adventure, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Minimee has been a godsend for our family! Our boy has always been so happy here and just loves his teachers. The owner has always done her best to facilitate any changes in days/times etc where possible, and overall we find it to be a happy and nurturing environment. Always doing new activities and lots of events for the whole family. Highly recommend to anyone considering this daycare!”
“I'd give more stars if I could! We are SO sad to be leaving! From the very beginning, Monisha and the team at Minimee were so welcoming and reassuring which I really valued as a new parent. The community fostered at Minimee is lovely and I felt very included in my daughter's learning, and loved seeing regular personalised updates from the centre. My daughter attended Minimee from 8 months old. She is now nearly two and has thrived there. She has made some lovely friends among the staff and children alike and my biggest regret in moving out of Auckland is that we will both miss Minimee so much! Thank you Monisha and everyone in the Toe Toe room x”
“We have been at Minimee for 6 years and have had both children in their care from ages 1-5. I couldn’t recommend them enough. Beautiful staff, beautiful facilities with a beautiful sea view. Monisha the owner/manager is sincere, gentle, patient and loving. Both her and the teachers have offered unmeasurable support and love to not only my children but myself as a parent. If you are looking for a daycare I can tell you, you can trust these guys, it truely is a wonderful place. They go above and beyond. Some examples - Monisha dropped around doughnuts to our house during lockdown. This last Friday there was a petting zoo with pony rides. They often do walking trips to the local parks. Their in house cook creates lovely meals every day. They regularly celebrate different cultures and occasions in creative ways. And they thoroughly prepare the preschoolers to transition easily into primary school. 10/10. Very sad that our time with them is over xx”
“My two children have both attended Minimee and we love it! Could not recommend it enough. I visited several daycares and as soon as we walked into Minimee I knew this was the right place for us. My eldest has been here since he was 6 months old and he loves it and knows all the teaches so well. Such a beautiful set up and amazing food for the kiddies.”
“We’ve had our two sons through Minimee between the ages of almost 2 and almost 5 over a 3 year period. Monisha is phenomenal in her approach to keeping the tamariki safe, grounded and happy. She somehow seamlessly moves between the role of Centre Manager (owner/operator) and full time furniture for the little ones to snuggle into. The wider Minimee team are an all star cast of talent and genuine care for the kids, while also encouraged to be themselves and connect with the kids in different ways. Impromptu face painting and hair styling with energetic educators was always a favourite. Having an In-house chef (but not anyone… having Angoma!) is a wonderful addition to ensure that the kids are fed, but also that they are exposed to different foods outside the home/family routines at early ages. We particularly adore the Minimee meal time rituals and it is handy not to have to make lunchboxes each day. But having Angoma in the kitchen, interacting with the tamariki, sometimes collaborating on meals, and talking to them about Kai, is just fabulous for everyone involved. Overall there is a great balance between policy and individual care and planning for each child and each whanau. We’ve moved on now, but Minimee is a very special place and I can’t recommend enough - hence the gushing review.”
