About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Little Pearls Educare Centre, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Even though my 5-year-old child only went there for 5 months, he adapted to New Zealand very quickly and started primary school with a smooth transition. The management, teachers and the entire staff are friendly and competent people.”
“Teachers and staff at Little Pearls are very supportive, knowledgeable and caring. Our kid had a very good experience with his daycare and preschool at LP since his toddler days. They are a quality Early Childhood Education centre.”
“I and my daughter were really happy to go there everyday. Thank you for giving us such a warm welcome. My English is not well but they are always try to understand and to listen carefully. Room is cozy and a lot smiles of kids:) We moved to the house so i couldn’t go there.. I miss them so much. Little pearls is the best place. I highly recommend them:)”
“My little gem was taken very good care of since he was 10months old. Little Pearls became more like a family than anything else. My son has definitely made friends for life there.🫶 Every child is different and staff there is so well trained that we knew our child is in great hands. Covid time was unpredictable but even then our kids were supported via zoom and all. Its playing area also is so much liked by kids as they get to play so much in open air outside room too. All I can say is we and especially my son is really going to miss Little Pearls.❤️♥️❤️”
“This is the warmest and happiest daycare and preschool you could find! It’s run by a not for profit foundation and you can really feel the love the teachers have for their pupils, everything revolves around children. No fuss around schedule changes, no pressure with anything. Our daughter has just graduated, in May 2021, after 3.5 year of attendance and we will do miss the directors and all the teachers and helpers. They all feel like family. We will be coming back for whanau days and quick visits. Bless you all 💕”
