What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Li'l Champs Educare 3, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and reassured. The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely passionate about early childhood development. Our child absolutely loves going each day — the smiles at drop-off and pick-up say it all! The environment is safe, clean, and thoughtfully designed to spark creativity and learning. We’ve seen amazing growth in our child’s social skills, confidence, and curiosity. The daily activities are engaging and age-appropriate, and we especially appreciate the regular updates and photos that keep us connected to their day. Lil Champs lives up to its name — helping every child feel like a champion. Highly recommended for any parent seeking a daycare that’s both heartwarming and high-quality!”
“My 2 children have been to this daycare. It is a small yet well staffed center. The teacher to child ratio is good with lots of innovative ways to help with the child’s growth and learning. The teachers are always coming up with ideas to explore different ways of learning. I love how the center celebrates every occasion from religious to mothers/fathers/grandparents day and the efforts put in to the children to prepare for it.”
“I'm just so impressed with the service and care that we are getting from this centre. My daughter is a very introverted girl who was very shy to teachers and kids, and she just needed extra time to get use to the environment and the new people around her when first enrolled, but I really appreciate the teachers that they never give up on my girl, they keep encouraging my daughter to participate, try new things, and see her grow, letting her know that she's safe in this centre and that she's always welcomed. Every piece of work they do at the centre is so meaningful helping my daughter to learn and grow. Whenever I go pick her up now she's always not willing to leave and that she would share a lot with me on the way home about what she has done for the day. I really cant appreciate more, thank you so much to all the teachers. I would definately recommend this centre to those that are still trying to look for a daycare.”
“Wow what a Childcare Centre. I am incredibly impressed with the nurturing environment at this childcare centre. Since my child joined around 1.5 years ago, I have never once worried about her safety and well-being. The Montessori program fostered at the centre has been incredibly beneficial for my child's growth, encouraging self-directed learning and critical thinking. The centre maintains high standards of hygiene and exudes positive vibes, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. The emphasis on cultural diversity and good mingling among children is commendable, promoting a rich, inclusive environment. The food provided is nutritious and well-balanced, contributing to the overall well-being of the children. Communication and feedback from the staff are always timely and constructive, ensuring parents are well-informed. Under the outstanding leadership of Centre Head Kamini, the team demonstrates remarkable teaching skills and a genuine care for the children's development. I am highly impressed with every teachers with a special mention and thanks to Teacher Divya, Sukhjeet, Malsha, and Preet in Bumblebee Room who are exceptional in fostering independence and strength in Children. Overall, this centre excels in providing a holistic learning experience, making it one of the best choices for childcare. .”
“Best daycare we have come across!! Couldn’t have asked for anything better!! Friendly and understanding teachers, safe and fun learning environment. The teachers are very experienced and patiently deal with a new child and provide their help and support in every possible way to settle a new child and than again in transition from beginners room to big kids room. They also prepared my child for transition to Primary school. This daycare has been like a second home for my child. We will deeply miss everyone at little champs, especially my child! 😰 Highly recommend Little champs Mission Heights”
