Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. Parent Reviews
“We’ve had our daughter in kindercare for the past 2 years and she’s thriving. More than that, we have loved our experience dealing with teachers and admin team, the whole place feels like your extended family. Just want to say how much we have appreciated all the support we have received since having our second child and how accommodating the team have been with all the changes in schedules. We know baby number 2 would also be cared and loved by everyone in Kindercare. Thank you!”
“I cannot recommend Kindercare Lower Hutt enough it has been both my kids home away from home. My kids have thrived under the care of all the teachers. They have assisted in toilet training both of my kids - they encourage and nuture our babies. The daily updates/photos & videos of my girl (aged 3) makes my day knowing how happy she is and I know how well she is cared for. Also the meals they prepare smell amazing at drop off & my girl is now eating more of a variety of healthy foods. I will be sad when my girl turns 5, you are our village.”
“A serious warning to all parents: Kindercare Connolly Street claims to uphold high standards of care — but our experience was the complete opposite. For four consecutive days, our daughter (who was in Tui room)was sent home in the same urine-soaked nappy that we marked and monitored every single day... Despite this, the teachers blatantly lied to us, claiming they had changed her nappy multiple times in a day and even recorded false entries in the daily report of our child's diary. This isn’t just neglect — it’s a willful act and deliberate failure of basic care and Hygine that led to our child developing a painful nappy rash for the first time. The staff not only failed to meet basic hygiene standards, but they also lied to our faces about changing her nappy multiple times a day. According to Kindercare’s own policy, this kind of wilful neglect qualifies as "abuse". We trusted them, and they broke that trust in the worst possible way. Our child is too young to speak for herself. We’ve withdrawn our daughter and are speaking out because other non-verbal children may be suffering in silence. Don’t take their reputation at face value — look deeper, ask questions, and protect your child. Our children depend on us to protect them. No child deserves this!!!!”
“We have two boys at Kindicare. The staff have been great with them and they are both really happy. Highly recommend”
“I will not support Kindercare while Kirsty Durrant is working there! Her attitude is absolutely disgusting and she is plain rude. A note for Kirsty, please do better - Sandra.”
