About Kids in the View Early Learning
About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.
What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Kids in the View Early Learning, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“Our son started in the baby room this year and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Yvonne, Kavita and Keri are all such warm, loving carers and our son is loving it. I was so nervous he wouldn't eat or sleep for them but they can get him down faster than I can! I've collected him at all random times and every time I've come by he's getting sung to, cuddled or entertained with bubbles. Since being there he's learnt so many gestures and skills that he just wouldn't have learnt at home. Nappies and meals are provided, sleep room is warm and smells fresh, floors are clean and heaps of fun things to play with. There's a little loft they can climb up to look out the window which is a lovely spot for them to watch the world. We looked at so many centres and my husband and I just kept coming back discussing River Kids so we knew it was the one! Small and very friendly centre. Couldn't be happier. R & L”
“We love River Kids! Both of our daughters have gone there and it's worked out brilliantly for us. The teachers really love their jobs and they provide nappies and delicious meals, making it super convenient. An added bonus is that they also take the kids to swimming lessons and offer jumping beans! Our kids have been really happy going there over the years :)”
