What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. “Visited here yesterday. While the staff were friendly, they were not very helpful in terms of providing information on other services that provide social/community support for non-elederly people. The places they did recommend, they were vague when it came to where these places were located, directing us to Facebook and giving a rough direction of where the second place was. I'm sure K'aute Pasifika provides useful services and support to many others in the community. However, it was lacking when it came to my experience with them. Anyone interested in this service should definitely check it out as it may be of help to them. It just so happened that it wasn't for me.”
“I applied for a food package from Kaute Pasifica as we are isolating at home due to a positive case. Our package had all the essential items and it even had treats for my 2 daughters wich made our day. We are beyond grateful for the kindness we were shown and I just wanted to express that somehow. Thankyou Kaute Pacifica for all that you do for our people. Nga mihi Maioha”
“Went and got my first COVID-19 vaccine jab. Friendly courteous team. Even had food and drinks while i waited to see if I was going to have an adverse reaction. Highly recommend this team and the trust for their work.”
