What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Inspired Minds Early Learning Centre, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“A wonderfully welcoming environment, the teachers are friendly, down to earth and supportive, within minutes of visiting we felt at ease. The large outdoor area is excellent, and the indoor is gorgeous too, clean, spacious and well equipped for toddlers and preschoolers. I had heard that this daycare has the best reputation in Whangarei - we are so happy with this centre, thank you Inspired Minds!”
“Inspired Minds is an awesome daycare. Daniel and his lovely staff are very friendly & hospitable. The atmosphere and ambience there is so welcoming. Their attitude towards teaching the children life skills. From growing, preparing, cooking & eating their own food. Along with other aspects of everyday living & social skills is brilliant. The older children even get to go on weekly nature walks. Our two tamariki settled in very quickly, and absolutely love it there. We couldn't be happier with Centre and the staff.”
“Absolutely love this kindy! Super friendly and lovely teachers who form amazing bonds with the children and make sure they happy and comfortable while us parents are gone. They are more than happy to give advice when needed! The owner is also very hands on and involved also really lovely. My child loves it here always well cared for and super comfortable around everyone. They do heaps of cool things for the kiddies too, they get to help with baking, often have wheels day or field trips exploring nature. They get them involved and teach them about the importance of growing and manicuring your own food. The kids have heaps of options on things to do both inside and out. 10/10 would highly recommend this place if hunting for somewhere safe secure and fun for your child to grow and build friendships and knowledge with that family feel to go with it.”
“Amazing centre. A home away from home with each child feeling like they belong. Live the fact that the grow their own veggies and then get to cook and eat them. Also love the fact that they get to go on nature outings and explore a bit. The teachers are all amazing and always make family feel very welcome. 10/10 for sure”
“Such a wonderful centre, my son loves going there. The teachers put in so much effort to form good relationships with the children and between the children. They focus on teaching values such as kindness and perseverance, and creating a culture for the kids of caring for each other and being inclusive, especially of the older children looking out for the younger ones. It has a great atmosphere, the kids are happy and engaged in play, there is so much on offer for them to do.”
