About Education & Care Service

Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. They cater to families needing flexible childcare options and wanting a balanced approach that supports social, physical, and early academic development in a diverse environment.

What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?

20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Impact Childcare Ltd, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

“My son started with impact when he was 18months and it was the perfect place for him, and for me. Right from the first visit I could see how much they cared about creating a beautiful, positive and nurturing environment with a focus on sustainability and nature. They genuinely care about the children and my son formed great bonds with all his amazing teachers. He thrived during his time there, always had fun and was very happy. For me, it was immeasurable to have the piece of mind to know that my son was in such capable hands, I had absolute faith in them and am very grateful for the time my boy had there.”

“My 2 year old has recently started with Impact. We looked at many centres and Impact stood out to us by a mile because of the professionalism, cleanliness, format, ratios, set up, all of it. The whole team has been extremely welcoming, very understanding and has coached us through transitioning our daughter, with care and respect. They are very open, sharing lots of updates and photos, they allow me to come in any time I like and they don't hide anything. My daughter just loves the the range of activities and I love that she is able to use her imagination, brain and senses with a good mixture of outdoor play, indoors and learning. Can't fault them and would confidently recommend other parents look at Impact for their kids.”
