What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Educare Warkworth, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“The fantail team did an incredible job at making our boy feel loved and safe! We loved the friendly and relaxed environment and would definitely recommend this centre for a professional and extremely caring option ❤️”
“We love Educare. The kids have so many interactions with all the children of many nationalities and cultures. And all the cultures are celebrated and learned about. I love my kids have a diverse range of friends as well as learning Te Reo they learn what languages theirs friends also speak such as Spanish and Chinese. As well as learning & having guests come to share such as yoga, fire trucks and bike days. The food provided is excellent as well. There’s a good mix of learning and play and the teachers really get to know and be personable with the kids. I am confident in this facility & feel welcomed as part of the Educare whanau. Definitely recommend!”
“We love the teachers at Educare Warkworth. They look after and care for my children at a high level with the children’s best interest at heart and also attentive to your needs as a parent. I have appreciated the communication & responsiveness between parent/teacher so I feel involved & informed. I love the updates on Educa to see what the kids have been doing during the day. I have read a review below regarding racism at the centre, I do not think this would intentionally happen and would be rectified immediately if this was brought to the teachers/managers attention and they would definitely do their best to correct any wrong doing and prevent it from happening again while learning from the situation. I feel sad that this family felt this way and that they had to leave a review instead of approach the staff to sort it out but understand sometimes it can be hard to discuss.”
“My child has been attending for 7months now and has loved every single day. The staff are always receptive and welcoming, they cater to individual children's interests with theme days connected to childrens wildest dreams. Recently the children have enjoyed spa days cafe days a pajama party and a dinosaur exploration day. They celebrate all cultures with in the center, this year alone so far Chinese new year, Holi, and soon Shrilankin new year. The team have been supportive with all the issues that come with lockdown. Couldnt ask for more in a daycare. When entering either classroom its easy to see an all inclusive community where every child is welcome.”
“My daughter loved her time at Warkworth Educare! Can't say enough about how amazing the team of ladies is here and what an incredible job they do caring for the children. For my daughter it really was an extension of home. The lovely chef Lindy was always doing baking with the kids and making delicious healthy lunches! The teachers are a lot of fun and do lots of singing and dancing with the children. They also encouraged my daughters interests in arts and crafts and were always setting up different activities for the children. The daycare itself is in a beautiful new open plan building with landscaped garden and lots of natural toys and places to explore. But what makes this daycare is definitely the genuine care the staff have for the children :) I have seen my daughter grow in confidence since being here and they have helped make her transition to school a very smooth one. So thanks so much!”
