About Education & Care Service
Education & Care Services are mainstream early learning centres that offer full-day or part-day care with a structured curriculum, qualified teachers, and a focus on learning through play. What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Eden Early Learning Centre, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

Parent Reviews
“We have always felt like family here. My two boys attended from 2019-2024. The food is fab. The place is always clean. No need is too much hassle. All staff are caring and understanding. They match your sleep routine. The centre has many celebration days like Diwali, Chinese New Year, Valentines Day, Samoan language week, Matariki etc. The Christmas party is free and wonderful. Mr whippy on tap as well as bouncy castles and santa.”
“On the plus side we loved the staff in the class rooms here - they were kind, caring and engaged. The Pukeko and Kea rooms were lovely and sunny. On the negative side we felt the office and management made no effort to build a relationship with the families of children. Over three years we received one book of what our child did during his time there while many of my friends children received daily online updates on their kids at other centers. On the two occasions that we complained about something the management response was dismissive at best. The Tui room is also very cold over winter and doesn't get much sun, so we had more than the average bouts of colds that have gone since leaving. The teachers in this room were often in puffer jackets.”
“Little Wonders Landscape Rd is an excellent daycare centre - we could not have asked for better. Both of our boys (Jack and Finn) attended Little Wonders from a very young age. Right from the start they were offered an extremely caring and nurturing environment by the friendly and knowledgable team of teachers. As the boys grew, they were offered more and more learning opportunities. Would particularly like to mention of the excellent Transition To School program for 4 year olds. This is a great program that covers literacy, numeracy and the different school routines. Jack was well prepped to commence primary school and it shows with how well he settled in and how quickly he has progressed through the initial reading levels at school. We are only leaving now as Jack has started school and we have moved out of the area. Highly recommend this centre - it is fantastic.”
“Both my daughters went to Little Wonders on Landscape Road part time before going to Kindergarten. I feel very lucky to have come across this fine establishment years ago. The staff, building and grounds are top notch. It has such a lovely feel and I couldn't have been happier with the care, attention and education that my girls received. I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone I know with little ones.”
“From home to home, excellent care in a loving and supporting environment. Our children have made great friends with other kids attending as well as their carers.”
