What Is 20 Hours ECE funding?
20 Hours ECE is a government-funded initiative that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education for families with tamariki aged 3–5. Eligible children can receive up to 20 hours of funded care and education each week at participating services. Centres can set their own enrolment patterns and may ask for optional charges, but the funded hours themselves should be free of compulsory fees. If you are unsure how this works at Busy Bees Whakatau Street, it is best to ask the centre directly how they apply 20 Hours ECE.

“Beautiful place..from our very 1st meeting we have been loved and supported..I was very apprehensive about taking my son tangaroa to another kindy and he certainly didn't want to go but busy bees whakatau have made our journey so much easier we have both been made apart of their extended family...he's excited to go everyday and doesn't want to come home anymore and only one the struggles with that is myself hahaha..I will be recommending to family friends and colleagues to bring their taonga here as well it's clean and spacious beautiful outside area and I've spent hours alongside some of their kaiako as a parent and they treat the babies as their own.. Thank you busy bees whakatau for giving tangaroa the skills he needs and providing a clean safe place to do so from my family to yours we can't thank you enough.. Thompson whanau”
